New Brunswick saw its first Basketeers chapter open in 2020, supporting women transitioning from situations of domestic violence. The Moncton Basketeers provide hampers of household items and heartfelt gifts to women leaving shelters for a safe, new home. We decided to start a chapter in the Sackville and Moncton areas after seeing the tremendous benefit of these efforts in Montreal.
This volunteer-run organization is fueled by the grassroots support of people like you and me, gathering with friends and coworkers to fill a basket that will help a courageous woman as she builds a new, safer life.
